Losing a much-loved pet is never easy and the holes they leave in our hearts and lives never fully close. The Rainbow Wall is our way of remembering those rats and mice that we have loved and lost. For the light they have shone in our lives during their oh-so-short time here on Earth with us, we remember them and we share our love and our loss with other rat and mouse owners who have also loved and lost.

Alfred, Lord Tennyson wrote, "Tis better to have loved and lost, Than never to have loved at all,” as part of a poem he wrote exploring his feelings of loss following the unexpected death of his best friend. We can all relate to that bittersweet pain filled with grief but also gratitude for having had the opportunity to know and love our furry friends.

We would therefore like to invite you to submit your memories of your departed rats and mice so that you can share the happy memories and have a permanent place to commemorate your pets.
